Egg Trainee Creative
Are you interested in developing your creative practice but not had the opportunity to do so in a professional setting?
The Egg Theatre is seeking a Trainee Creative for a supported training role from January–July 2026. The position is designed for individuals who have faced barriers to career development, particularly those from the global majority, and are based in the South West.
The trainee will work closely with The Egg’s Engagement team and production freelancers, gaining hands-on experience in rehearsal rooms, production meetings, and creative processes. Opportunities include shadowing and practical learning, with training tailored to those interested in areas such as writing, directing, design, lighting, sound, or stage management. The role is intended for early-career artists or those seeking a career change, passionate about making theatre with young people.

Egg Creative Learning Assistant
Are you motivated and enthusiastic about creative learning and supporting young people in developing their creative practice?
The Egg Theatre is recruiting a Creative Learning Assistant (ages 19–25) to support the running of its Theatre School. The position is designed for individuals who have faced barriers to career development, particularly those from the global majority, and are based in the South West. Working closely with the Participation Programme Producer and practitioners, the CLA will assist with evening and holiday sessions, providing practical support in workshops, helping manage spaces, and offering pastoral care to participants.
The role includes administration , communications and supporting events such as the holiday activities, end-of-term sharing’s, and inductions for new members. Training will be provided in facilitation, theatre operations, and box office systems, with opportunities to develop personal creative and career goals.
We are looking for someone with strong communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and willingness to learn with an interest in arts education, storytelling, and working with young people.
