The Day That Broke

The Day That Broke

Sometime, not too far in to the future, a nation gathers to watch a natural phenomenon: the moon passing in front of the sun.

But what if a once in a lifetime spectacle becomes an earth-shattering event?

As the world is plunged into perpetual shadow, we follow a mass of individual lives as they weave and rub together. The Day That Broke is their story. The story of what happened following the day the earth stood still.

Written by Mike Akers, Sharon Clark, Katherine Hunter and Samuel E Taylor and performed by 100 TRB Engage actors, The Day That Broke is a feature-length film made in just 100 days in partnership with Screenology Film School and directed by Philip Perry and Tom Brereton-Downs.
