Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - The Musical

Overview

Based on the Latent Image/Specific Films Motion Picture distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer Inc.

Get ready for a road trip extraordinaire as Bath Light Operatic Group brings the feelgood international hit, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - The Musical, to Bath.

Based on the Oscar-winning film, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is the heart-warming story of Mitzi, Felicia and Bernadette, three glamorous performance artists, searching for love and friendship who end up finding more than they could have ever dreamed of. Join these fish out of water as they head across the Australian desert in a battered old bus called Priscilla, each on a journey of self-discovery which culminates in a show unlike anything the locals have ever seen before.

The wildly funny, daring and uplifting musical is the winner of awards all over the world, including the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical. The show features a hit parade of classic dance-floor favourites including I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men, Boogie Wonderland, Go West, Venus and I Love The Nightlife.

Bath Light Operatic Group is back to dazzle audiences with outrageous costumes, extraordinary headdresses, classic pop – and a real on-stage bus! One of the most acclaimed amateur companies in the region, recent productions have included Annie, Sister Act and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is an amateur production presented through special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW), 1180 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 640, New York, NY 10036. www. theatricalrights.com
