People, Places and Things

Overview

Like watching theatre? Always itching to talk about something you’ve seen? Enjoy meeting like-minded people?

Join director and theatre-maker James Moore, who’ll help you deepen your understanding and enjoyment of theatre with this monthly ‘book club’-style group.

The Theatregoers’ Club will be split into ‘blocks’ comprising 3 x shows and 3 x follow-up discussion meetings taking place throughout the year. We’ll let you know the contents of each block in advance and the group leader, James, will ‘curate’ the blocks to ensure there is a varied and exciting range of shows to go and see, though you are of course welcome to make future suggestions to him directly.

Each block costs £30 irrespective of how many of the shows in that block you attend.

BLOCK 1 (autumn) comprises the following shows:

The Real Thing (TRB Main House) – Thu 28 Sept, 7:30pm

Discussion – Wed 4 Oct, 1805 rooms, 7:30pm

People, Places and Things (Bristol Old Vic) – Thu 26 Oct, 7:30pm

Discussion – Wed 1 Nov, 1805 rooms, 7:30pm

The Open House (Ustinov Studio) – Thu 30 Nov, 7:45pm

Discussion – Wed 6 Dec, 1805 rooms, 7:30pm

The next block of shows (Jan-Mar) will be on sale soon and details will be posted here. The Theatregoers' Club will continue into the new year - watch this space or email engage@theateroyal.org.uk to find out when the next block will be on sale.

Previous Theatregoers' Club shows have included: The Libertine (TRB), The Grinning Man (Bristol Old Vic), Trouble in Mind (Ustinov), Junkyard (Bristol Old Vic), Just An Ordinary Lawyer (Ustinov), The Miser (TRB), Translunar Paradise (Tobacco Factory)
