EVERYBODY WANTS TO MURDER SOMEBODY...
A stellar cast tell extraordinary interwoven tales of betrayal, blackmail and homicide from the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, the creative genius behind iconic movies Psycho, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Rear Window, The Birds and many more.
It’s just another ordinary day in your average American city... meet a paranoid housewife, a duplicitous jazz singer, a witness to murder, an escaped convict and a man literally on the edge, all struggling to survive in a potpourri of horror and mayhem.
This world premiere production features an astonishing cast of musical theatre royalty including Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins, Singin’ in the Rain), Sally Ann Triplett (Chicago, Cats, Mamma Mia), Nicola Hughes (Fosse, Porgy and Bess), Gary Milner (Evita, Parade) and Damian Humbley (The Woman in White, Merrily We Roll Along).
Alfred Hitchcock Presents – The Musical is directed by John Doyle, the Tony Award- winning director of Sweeney Todd, Company and The Color Purple. The original score is by Steven Lutvak (Best Musical Tony Winner, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder) and the inventive book by Jay Dyer (Californication) keeps the show’s tongue firmly lodged in its cheek in Hitchcock’s trademark style.
