Two children, two communities at war, one quest to find the best sweets in the world...
What are your favourite sweets? Sour ones? Chewy ones? Minty, fruity or chocolaty? What memories do they conjure of places, people and times?
Mick and Pix live for Saturdays – the one day of the week they’re allowed sweets. But then Sweetie Day is cancelled. Disaster! Mick and Pix are forced to venture out alone across the cliff tops in search of the legendary sweets of Bittersweet Cove. But why are the pretty, bunting-strewn streets deserted? And who is watching them from the sweet shop doorways?
A tale of childhood, sweets, and how we remember.
This performance will be a work-in-progress extract.
