Course Leader - Caroline Garland
In this 6-week term, we will explore the themes, characters and stories around a new play called Flood. Together we will devise characters and rehearse short scenes from a draft script. There will be opportunity to contribute ideas for the narrative, create new ensemble scenes, hone your acting skills and learn more about the craft of devising a play from scratch. At the end of the term you will be able to share a sample of your work in an informal rehearsed reading performance in the Roper Room.
Set in the fictional town of Runnelbeck Flood follows the stories of residents as they navigate their everyday dramas and complicated lives. When a huge flood hits the town they all start to question what really matters and what future they are really striving towards.
After booking your place, you will receive more information about this course nearer the start date.
