Bath Light Operatic Group returns to the Main House this Autumn with their new production of one of the best loved musicals of all time, Lionel Bart’s OLIVER!
The streets of Victorian London are brought vividly to life, filled with some of Charles Dickens’ most iconic characters – the orphan Oliver who escapes Mr Bumble’s oppressive workhouse and finds himself in the world of the sinister Sowerberrys, the mysterious Fagin’s pickpockets, his trusted lieutenant The Artful Dodger, the tempestuous couple Nancy and Bill Sykes and a host of memorable rogues, villains and heroes.
The sensational score is packed with some of the best-known songs in the musical theatre canon including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more.
Bath Light Operatic Group’s recent acclaimed productions include Mack & Mabel, the sell-out success of Shrek The Musical, and last year’s Rose Bowl Award winning Evita.
“The cast and ensemble of BLOG sure do know how to put on a grand show” Western Daily Press
“A highly entertaining show... a great showcase for the extraordinary talent we have here in Bath” Bath Chronicle on 2022’s Mack and Mabel
