Rough Magic Writing Workshop

Elevate audiences and companies are invited to explore their own writing in in the short intergenerational, participatory workshop. Because, in the end, we’re just playing pretend!

You don’t need fancy sets and big budgets to create amazingly imaginative theatre. With rough magic theatre making, you can transform everyday objects into props, places, and even characters.

Learn about the history and uses of rough magic theatre-making with local playwright, Truly Siskind-Weiss. Together, we will explore different ways to write magic moments for the stage using only simple props and bodies. Come away with the tools to create complex worlds using only the things on hand.
