Nicola Tallis returns with her latest book on the early years of Elizabeth I, one of England’s most famous monarchs, whose story as the ‘VirginQueen’ is well known.

Following the beheading of her mother Anne Boleyn she was made a bastard by her father at three years old. It was a ‘rocky’ but fascinating journey to the throne and she was never able to trust a man again remaining single and childless until her death.
