BACKGROUND TO THE USTINOV STUDIO
Since 2011, the Ustinov Studio has become the most successful small-scale producing theatre in the country. The seasons of in-house produced World and UK premieres have received widespread national acclaim for the venue and its programming. Three productions which premiered in the Ustinov Studio have run concurrently in the West End – The Father, Bad Jews and The Mother. The shows received a plethora of five-star reviews and national awards and nominations. The Ustinov’s productions regularly transfer or are co-produced with London theatres, including recent collaborations with the St James Theatre, The Tricycle, Soho Theatre and in the West End with the Arts, the Haymarket and the Duke of Yorks.
